Grangenolvin Lower, Athy, Kilkea, Co. Kildare is for rent on Daft.ie

The timber cladding alone whispers of a bygone era when Irish sheds knew their place, and here, one has ascended to a €950-a-month lifestyle statement. Note the wraparound gravel motor court, generously sized to accommodate the one car you'll need to sell to afford the deposit, and the two skylights positioned so precisely that a person of average height can lie in bed and count the exact number of stars visible from a converted outbuilding. The bench out front is not included in the listing, but its presence suggests a previous tenant who simply gave up trying to fit inside.
